Asbury Communities is seeking an experienced Administrator to lead Asbury Solomons healthcare center. Asbury Solomons is the beautiful Continuing Care Retirement Community in Solomons, Maryland. Asbury Solomons is a vibrant senior living community with a vacation feel.
Parent organization Asbury Communities has grown from one home for the indigent aged in Gaithersburg in 1926 into the 17th largest system of nonprofit CCRCs in the nation. Today Asbury Communities is a world-class system serving more than 4,600 people and employs nearly 2,700 in eight CCRCs located in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
The new Administrator will direct the strategic and operational functions of the health care center including nursing services, activities, social work, admissions, staff development, dining, and facilities services to ensure the quality delivery of services to meet resident and family expectations.
Administrator's Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Develop annual operations and capital budgets and establish effective controls to ensure operations are within approved budget guidelines
Oversee admission process and ensure that the healthcare center meets budget occupancy goals
Oversee staffing and personnel including performance management
Interpret and ensure compliance with all federal, state, county and other regulations
Direct culture change and promote person directed care through the partnership with Planetree
Direct capital and environmental improvements
Direct the preparation and submission of annual and other reports regarding finances, census, Medicaid and Medicare, levels of care, incidents, and other
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Minimum five (5) years’ experience as an Administrator in a long term care facility
Must possess current Maryland Nursing Home Administrator’s License or meet the licensure requirements for the State of Maryland
Bachelors degree in Public Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field required
Masters degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Ability to serve as a preceptor for Administrator-in-Training programs
