Regional Employee Health Manager
In this role, you will develop, coordinate, implement, and manage employee health programs and personnel to ensure the safest environment for our Mid-Atlantic States Region employees and providers. You will identify and establish future programs to organizational need and regulatory compliance. In addition, you will collaborate and consult with national facilities services, local managers, and supervisors for interpretation of regulatory requirements and Kaiser Permanente workplace safety initiatives.
At least five years of experience practicing as an RN in an acute care hospital, ambulatory, or public health setting
Two years of experience in project management and in employee health or occupational health and safety
Two years of lead/supervisory/managerial experience
A bachelor’s of science in nursing or other related field
A valid RN licensure required in a compact state (Maryland or Virginia) and the District of Columbia
Public speaking experience required with the ability to tailor information/presentation style as appropriate for the audience
Knowledge in adult education concepts and management principles
Knowledge and compliance experience as it relates to OSHA, AAAHC, and TJC
Evidence of good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Effective writing skills
Database management experience
Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office applications
Skilled in problem-solving and collaborating with other professionals
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Acute care experience preferred
Triage health care issues preferred
Adult education experience preferred
A master’s degree in nursing or a related area preferred
MS in Occupational Health or Safety related field preferred
Certified Occupational Health Nurse – Specialist (COHN-S) by the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses preferred
Ergonomic specialist preferred
Thorough knowledge of infectious disease, regulatory compliance, ergonomic principles, and case management principles preferred
