The Specialist, Regulatory Affairs will be responsible for regulatory compliance including state, federal and NCQA requirements, among other regulatory or accrediting agencies, throughout the CHPG managed clinics and the CCECs. This position reports to Administrator, Outcomes Effectiveness & Patient Experience. The position will develop strategies and tactics to ensure environmental and patient safety. This position will prepare reports, review action plans, and track and trend assessment results. This position will serve as the subject matter expert on regulatory compliance for CHPG. This position will work with internal or external resources to implement changes in practice or the environment to reduce compliance risks. This position will work closely with the practices to implement any new regulation changes.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other clinical discipline preferred
Must have current knowledge of state, federal, and NCQA regulatory requirements.
Experience with The Joint Commission preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements
3 years' experience in accreditation or regulatory regulations management in ambulatory, preferred
Ability to analyze and evaluate situations
Experience in patient safety or risk management preferred
Current Colorado Nursing License preferred
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Develop strategies and tactics to ensure regulatory compliance for CHPG managed clinics.*
Conducts an assessment of each new CHPG managed clinic or occupancy within 30 days of the first patient day.*
Provides real-time performance feedback and works with the practices to correct any potential regulatory violation.*
Monitors, tracks, and trends current environmental and patient safety assessment findings. Prepares reports.*
Monitors and tracks status of action plans. Prepares reports.*
Works with subject matter experts to develop tools such as educational programs or policies to improve compliance.*
Prepares reports and manages audit databases.*
Sedentary Work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
