Tenet Healthcare has an immediate need for a hospital Zone Security Leader to lead security operations in our El Paso and San Antonio Texas, and Phoenix, Arizona hospital facilities. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Security, the Zone Security Leader will work closely with corporate security leadership executives to direct security operations for a group of our hospitals.
ï¿½Lead efforts to identify, develop, implement, and maintain security processes, practices, policies and relevant trainings throughout the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure and liability in all areas of information, assets and resources, financial, physical, personal, and reputation risk.
ï¿½Analyze security related incidents and vulnerabilities and develop appropriate preventative strategies and programs.
ï¿½Manage the acquisition and analysis of information from open source and proprietary information services, and from government/subscriber services, to deflect threats to business operations, company assets and employees.
ï¿½Implement security operations and programs to ensure protection of employees, patients, vendors, physical and information assets, while ensuring optimal use of personnel and resources.
ï¿½Ensure regulatory compliance, adherence to security standards using ongoing tracking, reporting and audit processes.
ï¿½Serve as an emergency management resource in mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery phases of emergencies and disasters
ï¿½Serve as a member of the general staff or command staff during an emergency disaster situation
ï¿½Audit, review and inspect incident management programs, equipment and supplies to maintain readiness to respond to emergencies and disasters
ï¿½In alignment with Corporate Security, develop and implement programs to foster secure travel of companyï¿½s employees within the region.
ï¿½Ensure brand integrity through continuous development of security programs, in alignment with Tenet Corporate Security strategies.
ï¿½Conduct and support, as directed and provided for in-company policies and regulations, investigations on behalf of the company, principally aimed at mitigating threats against the company, employees, patients and vendors.
ï¿½Contribute to and support the management of special situations and crisis preparedness.
ï¿½Oversee vendor guard program associated with zone of responsibility
ï¿½Investigates and records accidents, theft or other losses, or allegations of illegal behavior
ï¿½Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department of function.
ï¿½Has accountability for the performance and results of the team within assigned zone.
ï¿½Conducts audits meant to identify potential security weaknesses and ensure compliance with applicable security standards.
Up to 25% travel - we will run a MVR on the final candidate.
Position can be based in El Paso, San Antonio or Phoenix and travel to other markets as required.
ï¿½Bachelor's Degree - preferred
ï¿½High level of written and verbal communication skills (in English)
ï¿½Previous experience in Healthcare environment
ï¿½Five years of progressive leadership responsibility
ï¿½Knowledge of physical security programs
ï¿½Ability to conduct risk analysis assessments
ï¿½Strategic planning and policy development
ï¿½Achieve (IAEM) Associate Emergency Management Certification in 2 years
ï¿½Military or first responder (police, fire, ems) experience preferred
ï¿½Competency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
ï¿½Emergency Management/Business Continuity
