PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Under supervision of the Nurse Manager and in collaboration with other team members, provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, professional standards of care, state regulations and accreditation standards, policies, and procedures.
SHIFT: 24-32 hours per week. Saturday and Sunday 6am-6pm + additional hours during the week as needed and available up to 32 hours per week. Initial training will be weekdays between 6am-2pm up to 32 hours per week.
PAY: $35-$45 Depending on Qualifications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Fundamental duties necessary to achieve the objective of the position.)
Provide prompt nursing assessment, treatment and health related counseling to ill/injured employees with detailed documentation of nursing care consistent with the Company’s occupation health standards maintaining confidentiality of employee health information and health records.
Assist as requested with active case management of workers compensation claims including early return to work for both work-related and non-work related absences.
Collection and processing of samples for drug and alcohol testing
Perform post offer pre-placement physical assessments
Coordinate post offer and physical abilities testing
Perform wellness-related activities as requested
Participate with Safety Department in incident investigations
Complete and file OSHA and work comp injury reports per regulatory compliance as needed.
Perform audiometric and spirometry screens per regulatory compliance, on pre-hire and as requested by physician.
Flexibility with work hours, when needed, to cover other nurses’ vacations and/or illnesses.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Experience, education, licenses, certifications, and specific knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position.)
Current Minnesota Registered Nurse License
Two years clinic, primary care, emergency room or occupational health experience
Basic computer skills-knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and willingness/ability to learn our software
CPR/AED certified
Phlebotomy skills
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to make independent nursing judgements
Knowledge of Minnesota workers’ compensation laws
Knowledge of OSHA record keeping guidelines
